Description

A sure-fire way to bring dazzling colour to your spring garden without much effort. They won't let you down, enjoy masses of vivid, double-flowered blooms in rich jewel tones that absolutely sing in the spring sunshine.

The flowers come in a mix of shades, and they last so well. You can expect blooms to keep coming for weeks on end, especially if you stagger the planting. They�re brilliant for cutting too! Certainly one of those varieties you�ll always be tempted to snip and bring indoors.

Anemones are so easy to grow. They�ll pop up quickly, producing finely cut foliage and then those wonderful frilly blooms from around May. They're great in pots, borders, or woven through the front of a bed, where they'll sit happily beneath taller plants.

This is a mix of a reliable, time-tested variety, with strong stems, weather resilience and masses of flower power. Bees and pollinators love them, and they�re tough enough to cope with cooler spring conditions without batting an eyelid.

Plant them in generous drifts or in clumps of five or more bulbs for that naturalised look. They�ll even come back year after year if planted in well-drained soil. For such an easy plant, you get an astonishing return, bold colour, long flowering and brilliant vase life.

Top Tips

If you want to store your bulbs over winter, then lift them before the first frost. Bulbs generally prefer to be stored dry.
Remove loose soil, carefully pull or cut off dead and dying leaves and leave to dry overnight. Dusting with fungicide will help keep the bulbs healthy.

Care Information

Your bulbs will enjoy a warm, sunny position, in fertile, free-draining soil. Heavy, clay soil can be improved by digging in 1-2 buckets of coarse sand per square metre.

To plant, dig individual holes for each bulb or a trench if you're planting in groups. Place bulbs in the holes without pushing down hard. Make sure the growing point is pointing upwards, then cover with soil.

Use the bulb as a guide and plant it two or three times its depth. Space them approximately two to three bulb widths apart.

Many bulbs are ideal for growing in patio containers, especially the more tender species, which can then be stored over winter.

Store the bulbs in dry paper bags or trays of almost dry sand in a frost-free place.

Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.

We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
