Retention Marketing Manager
Eventus House, Market Deeping

The Role

In this role, you will assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns, monitor online performance, and contribute to the overall strategy to enhance our digital presence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement various online marketing initiatives across website, social media, and paid advertising channels.

This is an on-site, office-based role which will work closely with the internal marketing, sales, and product teams to drive growth and improve overall performance in line with budgetary expectations. As we are a closely collaborative, communication-driven business, note alternative working patterns are not available for this role.

  • Identify customer segments to support tactical marketing efforts.
  • Maintain a positive churn rate of email contacts and improve customer retention.
  • Close working relationship with Merchandising functions to ensure campaign content supports product launches, seasonal collections, and stock availability.
  • High level of collaboration with the Acquisition Marketing to align messaging and ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints.
  • Own creative for retention channels and ensure they follow brand guidelines.
  • Oversee retention tools and data platforms, ensuring best practices in data usage and driving data-informed decision-making.

What we'd like from you

  • Proven experience in customer retention marketing within an eCommerce environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, or similar tools for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience mentoring or managing a small team, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
  • Experience managing large product ranges and understanding seasonal dynamics in eCommerce.
  • Hands-on experience with email and SMS marketing platforms, ideally leveraging automation and personalisation.

Commercial Analyst

The Role

You will audit and improve our tracking and analytics, understand how customers behave, measure marketing performance, and provide clear recommendations that help the business grow sales and margin. This role is key in helping us make better decisions, faster.


What You’ll Do

  • Audit Google Analytics (GA4) and website tagging to ensure accurate performance tracking.
  • Analyse customer behaviour, lifetime value, retention, unsubscribe rates and recruitment methods.
  • Evaluate marketing ROI across all channels and highlight underperforming activity.
  • Build models to forecast sales, contribution margin and marketing performance.
  • Report sales and margin performance by channel, category and product.
  • Analyse discounting and its impact on conversion and profitability.

Trading Merchandiser (E-commerce & Range Management)

The Role

About the Role

You will manage the full product lifecycle, use data to guide trading decisions, and ensure the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantities, to maximise sales and reduce waste.


What You’ll Do

  • Range, Stock & Product Lifecycle
  • Manage the full product lifecycle: launch, promotion, trading, clearance and replacement.
  • Translate sales forecasts into intake plans by channel.
  • Maintain the company Weekly Sales, Stock & Intake (WSSI) planner.
  • Monitor sell-through and recommend actions (price changes, promotions, reallocation).
  • Analyse product performance and profitability to optimise the range.
  • Identify underperforming SKUs and new product opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Buying and Suppliers to ensure timely intake and correct stock levels.
  • Maintain accurate product data and categorisation online.


Pricing & Margin

  • Set selling prices across all channels to protect margin and avoid channel conflict.
  • Work with the Business Analyst and Marketing to optimise discounting and promotional plans.


Market & Competitor

  • Track competitor pricing, promotions, and new launches.
  • Identify range gaps and market opportunities.



What we'd like from you

Essential

  • Experience as a Merchandiser, Category Manager, or Product Manager in e-commerce/retail.
  • Strong commercial understanding of product lifecycle and margin.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
  • Confident using sales, stock and margin data to drive decisions.
  • Strong communication and supplier-facing negotiation skills.
  • Good Excel and ERP/e-commerce systems knowledge.
  • Familiarity with WSSI or similar planning tools.


Desirable

  • Experience in horticulture, seasonal goods or home & garden categories.

  • Mixing / applying feeds and checking nutrient levels
  • Maintaining Glasshouse environments, including daily maintaining checks on all relevant machinery and systems.

  • Maintaining chemical and fertiliser inventories.
  • Applying Biological controls.
