Customer Service Assistants (Temporary Contract)
Head Office, Market Deeping

The Role

As a Customer Service Assistant at You Garden, you will have gained experience working in an office-based Customer Service role, dealing with customer queries predominantly via email. You will be used to using back office systems to update and process customer orders.

This is a temporary, zero-hour contract for 2-4 months and is likely to be between 25 – 48 hours per week, between Monday to Sunday depending on the needs of the business. Longer term contracts may be available for the right person.

You should be pro-active, flexible , be able to work some weekend days and early evenings on a rota basis, and with a great work ethic and a keen eye for detail. You should always be able to demonstrate empathy and a desire to please customers yet maintain the interests of the business. Excellent written communication skills are essential and you need to be a good ‘team player’. Horticultural knowledge would be an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities (These will include but not be limited to):

  • Resolving customer queries and complaints by email using a helpdesk ticket system
  • Handling Customer Service duties for our key clients and marketplaces
  • Processing orders
  • Reactivating club members with outbound calls
  • Other administrative duties as necessary

Benefits package:

This role comes with a competitive salary dependent on experience. We offer 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (Pro-rata for this contract), free parking and excellent staff discount.

Packhouse Team Leaders
Gedney Hill Nursery, Lincolnshire

The Role

As a Team Leader, you'll be:

  • Leading a small team of packhouse employees and agency staff
  • Working alongside other nursery and packhouse employees to supervise and motivate
  • Completing daily reports relating to production and performance
  • Learning and enforcing all product specs and safety protocols in the packhouse
  • Report any employee problems to the line supervisor
The role will operate across a number of shifts with weekend working during our peak season

Online Marketing Executive
Head Office, Market Deeping

The Role

  • Planning and delivering a web content strategy via a calendar that is continually reviewed and adapted to drive high engagement across agreed online platforms and audiences
  • Serving as editor-in-chief for all online content to ensure it meets the agreed quality, clarity and consistency of production and messaging
  • Collecting, monitoring and analysing social and website metrics such as Google Analytics, to assess and report the performance and effectiveness of campaigns against agreed objectives, and to make improvements accordingly
  • Search Engine Optimisation (Website)
  • Improving the customer experience
  • Analyse and document current web performance to report on areas of focus and improvement in the future.
  • Requirement to comply with Data Protection Policies and procedures.
  • Paid advertising: Whilst not accountable for paid advertising you will have extensive knowledge of it, and you understand the value of digital marketing to an organisation. You understand the key performance metrics and will push your team to evaluate each activity to improve our advertising creative in the future.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Over 3 years’ demonstrable experience.
  • Commercially savvy, with the ability to judge which layout, copywriting and photography decisions are likely to add value and boost customer engagement and response.
  • Excellent personal, written and verbal communication skills, as an integral part of the role involves liaising with internal colleagues and external agencies.
  • A positive mind-set, always ready to overcome a challenge rather than see it as barrier.
  • Extremely well organised, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, coping well under pressure.
  • A high attention to detail with a natural ability to proofread – able to spot errors and omissions that others may miss.
  • Computer literate, proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
