Invite A Fresh, Colourful Display To Your Quiet Early-Season Garden With These Easy Woodland Favourites!

Anemone 'Blanda' Mixed is a lovely way to bring the garden back to life from March to April. The flowers appear with a charming, natural character, sitting above finely cut foliage that gives planting areas a soft, woodland feel.

Plant this mixed bulb selection in bold groups around deciduous shrubs, under open trees, through informal borders or in patio pots.

These fully hardy bulbs grow well in full sun or partial shade and need very little attention once established. Leave them in place after flowering and, in suitable conditions, they can return each year with increasing impact.

They are an excellent choice for brightening dull corners, filling gaps and creating a natural spring display without complicated care.

Supplied as 75 bulbs, size 4/5, ready to plant.

Top Tips
  • Plant generously in bold swathes for the ultimate spring display of flowers. Pre-soak tubers in water overnight before planting to help them get started, and they will start to grow much more quickly.
Care Information
  • Plant the pre-soaked bulbs 5-8cm deep and 15cm apart in light, sandy soil in a sunny, protected site
  • These can be started off in pots and transferred into the garden when all risk of frost is passed.
  • Site your anemones where they will receive full to half day sun.
  • After planting, water anemones well to settle the soil around the bulbs. When blooming has finished for the season don't cut off the foliage - the leaves are needed to store energy for the winter.
  • Water as needed during active growth periods and feed with a general-purpose fertiliser every 2 weeks while in active growth.
  • At the end of the summer the leaves will yellow and die back and the plant goes into dormancy - leaves can be removed at this point. Your anemones will rest for a few months before starting into growth again.
  • Leave them in the ground once they die back – they’ll come back bigger and better each year, just cover with a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost to protect against extreme winter weather.
  • Plant in herbaceous borders, in pots, or leave in the ground to naturalise If planted in pots be sure to water frequently and keep moist
Delivery Information

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. Pre-ordered items will be sent as soon as possible after the date quoted and we'll generally ship your entire order with your pre-ordered items. When your order is dispatched, we'll send you another email with details of how to track it.

Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.

We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.
