    Product Information

Pretty coloured petals of yellow, orange and pinky-red, evocative of glorious sunsets at home and abroad, are just the thing to brighten up your garden in spring after the long months of winter dormancy. These radiant blooms will look fabulous in beds, borders and patio pots, creating a glowing scene as your garden bursts into life from March to May.

The low-growing habit of the crocus and the mid-height tulips make them a perfect choice for rock and gravel gardens – or plant any of these bulbs in drifts or clumps through grass, where they will naturalise easily and come back with bigger and better displays each year. For a natural look, throw handfuls of bulbs onto the ground and plant them where they fall.

What’s more – you will have tulips and daffodils a plenty for your vase, to herald the arrival of spring with vibrant displays in your home.

Growing to different heights, from 10cm to 40cm, this versatile collection of 65 spring-flowering bulbs includes:

Tulips ‘Quebec’ x 15 bulbs (size 10/11) – A multi-flowering variety, ‘Quebec’ rewards with 3-5 flowers per bulb. With petals of pinky-red with a broad cream edge and contrasting primrose-yellow base, set amid lightly mottled green foliage, these open-character blooms will grow up to 35cm, with flowers from April to May.

Tulips ‘Orange Toronto’ x 15 bulbs (size 10/11) – Another multi-headed tulip, ‘Orange Toronto’ opens into cup-shaped blooms up to 12cm wide. Set on sturdy stems, the pointed-petalled flowers rise like flames above mounds of broad, grey-green leaves to a height of 20-30cm, with attractive foliage that remains green long after flowering. This versatile botanical variety flowers from April to May.

Crocus ‘Large-flowered Yellow’ x 20 bulbs (size 7/8) – True to its title, this crocus has sizeable flowers of deep golden-yellow, each bulb giving a generous number of blooms. An enduring garden favourite, it will grow happily in many situations, being ideal under shrubs and trees for ground cover and for populating wooded areas. Growing to a height of 10cm, blooms will appear in ever-increasing numbers each March and April.

Narcissus ‘Yellow Cheerfulness’ x 15 bulbs (size 10/12) – Cheerful by name and cheerful by nature, this double-flowered daffodil has multiple golden-yellow flowers on each stem and a lovely scent. Fully deserving of its coveted RHS Award of Garden Merit, you are guaranteed superb results, with flowers of to 40cm from March to April.

    Top Tips

  • For a natural look, throw a handful mixed together onto your border and then plant them where they fall.
  • Which way up? Pointy end up usually, but don't worry; they soon right themselves in the ground anyway.
  • Care Information

    Planting Advice for your bulbs:

    • Plant bulbs at twice the depth of the height of the bulb and four times their width apart, e.g. 5cm tall bulbs need to be planted 10cm below the surface of the ground and 20cm apart.
    • Please check the bags for any additional planting instructions.
    • They are fine to plant even if a little green growth is showing; they will just need a good watering when you plant them, and then only when the soil is dry.
    • Leave them in the ground once they die back and they will come back bigger and better each year.
    • While all the energy that a bulb needs in order to grow is stored in the bulb itself, they will do better if you feed them when in active green growth.
    • Plant in herbaceous borders, in pots, or leave in the ground to naturalise.
    • If planted in pots, be sure to water frequently and keep moist.

    Aftercare Advice for your bulbs:

    • Spring-flowering bulbs should be planted in the autumn for displays next season. This allows them to establish a good root system before the weather becomes too cold.
    • Plant in herbaceous borders or in pots, or leave in the ground to naturalise.
    • Water frequently and if in pots, ensure that the compost doesn't dry out.
    • Use a good-quality potting compost such as our premium professional compost for the best results.
