Once flowering has finished, trim back the faded stems. Aster 'Alpha' is a perennial and may regrow the following year. Keep the pot in a sheltered position over winter and ensure the compost does not remain waterlogged.

Caring For Your Aster 'Alpha' Decopot

• On Arrival - Unpack the pot carefully and remove any protective packaging. Water thoroughly if the compost feels dry, then allow excess water to drain before placing it outside.
• Where To Display - Position in a bright, sunny or lightly shaded outdoor spot. A patio, doorstep, balcony or garden table is ideal. Keep the pot where air can circulate freely around the foliage.
• Watering - Check the compost regularly, especially during warm or windy weather. Water when the surface begins to feel dry, but do not leave the pot standing in water.
• Feeding - Apply a liquid flowering-plant feed every two weeks while the plant is actively growing and flowering. Always follow the instructions on the feed packaging.
• Deadheading And Tidying - Remove faded flower heads regularly to keep the display looking fresh and encourage the remaining buds to develop. Pick off any yellowing or damaged leaves.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
