Description

Summer blooms that are as reliable as they are beautiful. From early in the season, it bursts into bloom with double and semi-double flowers in rich shades of pink and purple, each one a miniature work of art. The ruffled petals and layered forms add texture and depth, making your pots, baskets and borders look like they've been styled for a garden magazine.

What sets this variety apart is its incredible staying power. Once it starts flowering, it doesn't stop until the first frosts, as late as November! You'll enjoy more than six months of uninterrupted colour.

Its compact habit makes it a perfect fit for almost any display. It will happily spill over the edges of containers and baskets or knit together beautifully in the border, creating carpets of colour that bring every corner to life. And because it's weather tolerant, it keeps going strong even when the British summer throws in a spell of rain or cooler days.

Whether you're an experienced gardener or just starting out, this is an easy-grow option that rewards you with high impact for minimal effort. A sunny position will bring out its best, but it will also thrive in light shade.

Why wait for summer colour when you can start enjoying it early and keep it going late? Add this showstopper to your garden plan and look forward to a display that turns heads from the first flower to the last.

Top Tips

During the flowering period, remove dead flowers as often as possible to avoid seedpods from developing, as these can stop further flowering.

Care Information

Planting:

  • Water 1-2 hours prior to planting. Gently remove the plants from the tray by pushing up from the bottom using a pencil or something similar.
  • Transfer the plants into small pots or seed trays filled with good multi-purpose compost.
  • Water the plants well once, and then do not water again until the compost is nearly dry, or the plants are wilting.
  • Once the risk of frost has passed, then plant outside.
  • Harden off the plants prior to planting out, by placing the plants outside during the day and bringing in at night for two weeks.
  • Once planted, water the plants well.

Ongoing Care:

  • Weekly watering is needed to keep the soil moist throughout the growing season.
  • Be sure to check the ground every three to four days in dry weather.
  • Either cut back to ground level in autumn or leave the cutting until February so the dead stems can form perfect cover for winter wildlife.
  • If your soil is light or slightly infertile, then apply a high potassium liquid fertiliser once or twice a week to help maintain flowering.
  • Move any container-grown flowers indoors when temperatures are forecast that will drop below freezing.
  • When cutting back the dead flowers, be sure to do this right to the ground to make plenty of room for the new season’s growth.
Delivery Information

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. Pre-ordered items will be sent as soon as possible after the date quoted and we'll generally ship your entire order with your pre-ordered items. When your order is dispatched, we'll send you another email with details of how to track it.

Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.

We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.
