Despite the glamorous appearance, these are tough plants. Fully hardy, drought tolerant once established, and practically zero maintenance. They catch the light so well, particularly in late summer when everything else is starting to fade. Those plumes look fabulous swaying in the breeze, whether planted solo, in a border, or en masse for a dramatic screen.
They grow tall too, up to 2.5m, so are brilliant for height at the back of a border, or even used to zone off parts of a garden. That graceful fountain of arching foliage stays attractive for most of the year, turning tan in winter for that soft, natural look that suits prairie-style planting down to the ground.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.
Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
