Hardy ferns are a hidden gem of the gardening world and should be grown much more widely. Graceful and airy, with a whole range of colours, textures and sizes available, there is a fern for every garden and every gardener!
When this fisty fern first begins its season in spring, the fronds of this unusual new variety are a glow of bronze, sunny, warm yellow and stunning golden-orange, but as they mature their colour changes to fresh light green which is just perfect to give a burst of life to the darkest dullest part of your garden, which can often be a struggle to grow in. That's not the case for 'Jurassic Gold' however, as this beauty thrives in damp and shaded spots.
Discovered by Bob Hollister at Country Garden Plants near the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, this interesting fern will bring warmth and life to a shady border - the Dryopteris wallichiana 'Jurassic Gold' is very hardy and so easy to grow. It can also be potted for a shady part of the patio.
Supplied as a set of three established plants in 9cm pots, ready to plant.
