Product Information

Treat yourself to a commemorative bloom with our King Charles Coronation Rose in honour of this momentous occasion. It goes without saying that a rose is a fitting attribute to King Charles as he officially rises to the British throne.

We have ensured this is a beautiful rose of the utmost quality. As a floribunda rose, it produces wave upon wave of gorgeous clusters of medium-sized, double, baby pink blooms that contrast effortlessly against the bushy dark-green, glossy foliage. This truly is of the prettiest roses you can grow - each bloom has layer upon layer of pink petals with perfectly ruffled edges.

Floribunda Roses produce clusters of flowers, creating a gorgeous effect in your garden which guarantees to last over many seasons. Make sure you plant the 'King Charles Coronation Rose' somewhere you can enjoy its lovely light fragrance that will keep going all summer, and well into the short nights of autumn.

Along with being a memorable flower, the good news for new gardeners or those with very little time on their hands, is that this particular rose is also generally hardy, more robust and more disease resistant than other rose types. They really are one of the easiest types to grow and perfect for most garden situations, including containers for the more compact types.

Supplied as a bare root and growing to a height of 80cm.

Care Information

Planting Advice:

  • Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought dry.
  • Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.
  • Add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole and plant so that the graft union (the swollen are when the stems meet the roots) is just below soil level.
  • Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.

Aftercare Advice:

  • Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry.
  • Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.
  • For best results, feed roses in in late-March/April and again late July.
  • To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly. Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don't worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.
