Full Product Details

Product Information

Excellent new roses bred using the latest techniques for fascinating displays that last throughout the summer.

Each variety produces wave after wave of breathtaking fully double blooms for up to six months of the year, each fully loaded with delicate petals and an exquisite perfume.

The roses are very similar to those that have been victorious at previous editions of the Chelsea Flower Show, demonstrating their pedigree and impressive form!

Enjoy a sway of colour when these bare root roses come into bloom, including delightful shades of pink, apricot, blush white, yellow, and red.

Give them pride of place in your borders where you can enjoy the lovely blooms and perhaps cut a few for a vase.  These roses are also suitable for container growing so you can enjoy on the patio too.

Supplied as a set of five bare root roses, ready for immediate planting.

What Is Supplied

Item 530022 supplied as:

5 x Bare Roots

  • The amount of growth on potted roses will vary at different times of year, depending on when they are potted.
  • Potted roses will be freshly potted from November to February, so are not fully rooted through.
  • They will have new shoots beginning in March and April.
  • They will be in leaf and then buds May and June.
  • They will be in flower June and July.
  • From August onwards they may be trimmed back, ready to plant and burst back into life the next season.
  • From the end of September your rose has received its trim which will help it to have stronger roots and better form next year.

Top Tips

To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly. Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.

When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease.

Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.

Care Information

  • Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry.
Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.
  • Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, so add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole if necessary.
  • Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry.
  • Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.
  • For best results, feed roses in late-March/April and again in late July.
