Pink flowering excellence! Enjoy long-flowering mophead Hydrangea, coated in big and exciting flowers. Grow blooms unique to your garden, as soil type and quality will determine the shade of pink that erupts.
Huge blooms, each up to 20cm or so, emerge across many months of summer, bringing colour to the deep-green foliage. Buds open into strikingly bold flowers around the middle of summer, holding firm on the plant until the chills of autumn are threatening to begin.
Easy to grow and low maintenance, a great variety for the pots and containers of the patio, or garden beds and borders. This Hydrangea has been shaped into an appealing lollipop-like 'standard' form, therefore boasts a full head of foliage above a clean stem. These standard plants look particularly good as patio features.
Supplied as an established standard plant in an 18cm pot, already 80-100cm tall, ready to plant and display.
Hydrangeas love to be kept well watered, and will produce bigger, glossier, more substantial leaves when provided with regular moisture.
Try to use rainwater to water hydrangeas, since mains hard water can affect the flower colour, turning blue flowers mauve or pink.
Hydrangeas tend to be blue in acid soil conditions, mauve in acid to neutral soil conditions, and pink in alkaline conditions. Cultivars with blue flowers can be kept blue by growing the plants in acidic soil (pH 4.5-5), or by acidifying soils. Hydrangea colourants can also be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
