'Encore' is a breakthrough in Azalea breeding. Like all Azaleas, it has amazingly extravagant clusters of trumpet shaped flowers, but whereas other Azaleas flower just once during April and May, 'Encore' will also flower for a second time from July to September, so it effectively flowers from spring until autumn!
'Sunburst' produces simply stunning soft-pink blooms. A real attention-grabbing flower, they will almost completely cover the plant and are set off to perfection by the glossy dark evergreen foliage. Making this a gorgeous garden shrub all year round.
Happy in sun or light shade and perfect for growing in containers - where it'll make a striking addition to doorways, terraces, and balconies - but also happy in the flower borders. Just the thing for bringing a bold mass of colour to the spring garden for month after month.
Azaleas are easy to care for, needing little maintenance or pruning. Requiring acidic soil, incorporate plenty of ericaceous compost when planting and keep moist.

When watering, try to use rainwater as tap water tends to be too hard and more alkaline.
Care Information
- Azaleas can tolerate a more open site as long as they are sheltered from cold, drying winds and early morning sunlight.
- Mulch plants and water deeply and regularly during dryer periods from July onwards.
- Your azaleas should be planted slightly higher than they were in their pots into well-draining soil.
- Azaleas need an acidic soil with a pH of around 5.5 in order to thrive - soils with pH higher than 5.5 should be acidified before planting or you can grow these plants in a container with ericaceous compost.
- When watering, try to use rainwater as tap water tends to be too hard and more alkaline.
- Plants benefit from a yearly feed, and our Azalea, Rhododendron and Shrub feed is the ideal formulation.
