Description

Love raspberries but think you don't have the space? Think again. Here's the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for, a compact raspberry that fruits heavily, grows neatly, and doesn't need support. Introducing Raspberry 'Lowberry Baby Dwarf', a revolution in fruit growing that's easy, exciting and absolutely delicious.

This astonishing little plant changes everything. It grows to just 50cm tall, but it produces full-sized, juicy raspberries with a sweet, classic flavour. It's a bush, not a climber, so it stays neat and self-supporting, which means no awkward staking or tying in. That makes it brilliant for patios, balconies, terraces, or anywhere you can fit a pot.

What’s more, it’s incredibly easy to grow. Just give it a sunny spot and a bit of regular water, and you'll be picking your own raspberries from mid-summer to autumn. The fruit forms on both the current season’s growth and canes from last year, for a longer fruiting season.

'Lowberry Baby Dwarf' is also ideal for kids, beginners, or anyone short on space who still wants the satisfaction of harvesting their own fruit. You'll love stepping out the back door and picking a handful of sweet raspberries from your own mini bush. It’s as rewarding as it is tasty.

Supplied as an established plant in a 1 litre pot, ready to plant.

Top Tips

A great performer in pots, but this variety can also be planted directly into a garden bed, but make sure the soil is free-draining and not prone to waterlogging.

Care Information

When Your Plant Arrives

  • Your raspberry will arrive as an established plant in a 1 litre pot, ready to plant.
  • Unpack it straight away and give it a drink of water if the compost feels dry.
  • Stand it outside in a sheltered, sunny spot for a couple of days to let it acclimatise.
  • Choose a sunny, sheltered position for the best results. This variety is ideal for pots, so use a container that's at least 25-30cm in diameter with good drainage holes.
  • Fill it with quality multi-purpose compost, preferably mixed with some well-rotted organic matter if you have it.
  • Remove the plant from its pot and gently tease out any matted roots.
  • Plant it so the top of the rootball is level with the surface of the compost. Firm in and water thoroughly.

Ongoing Care

  • Keep the compost moist, especially during dry spells and while the plant is getting established.
  • In summer, pots may need watering daily, particularly when the fruit is developing.
  • Avoid letting the compost dry out completely.
  • 'Lowberry Baby Dwarf' is hardy. In colder regions or if grown in a pot, protect roots in winter by moving the container to a sheltered spot or wrapping it in fleece or bubble wrap.
Delivery Information

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. Pre-ordered items will be sent as soon as possible after the date quoted and we'll generally ship your entire order with your pre-ordered items. When your order is dispatched, we'll send you another email with details of how to track it.

Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.

We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.
