Description

Turn An Empty Patio Into A Fully Planted Autumn To Spring Display With Colour And Fragrance - With Everything You Need!

This complete collection brings together everything required to create three coordinated displays that begin impressing as soon as they are planted.

Pansy 'Tango Magic' provides the fiery colour, producing glowing orange flowers with a sweet fragrance that is particularly enjoyable beside doors, pathways and seating areas. These compact plants flower from September to March, helping the patio remain inviting when many summer displays have finished.

Viola Sorbet 'Tiger Eyes' adds a completely different look, with golden yellow flowers marked with dramatic dark veining. Part of the tested 'Sorbet' series, these neat plants stand up well to rain, wind and frost, flowering from autumn into spring.

Plant the two varieties together for a lively mixture of colour and pattern. You also get three orange Sabina planters, which measure 26cm across and include drainage holes, helping excess water escape during wet winter weather.

Plus, a 20 litre bag of Premium Professional Compost, which contains composted wood fibre, carefully graded peat, lime, starter fertiliser, a wetting agent and 12-month controlled-release feed. Its light, open texture gives roots the air, moisture and nutrition they need to establish.

Supplied as 10 Pansy 'Tango Magic' and 10 Viola Sorbet 'Tiger Eyes' garden ready plants, three 26cm Sabina orange planters and one 20 litre bag of Premium Professional Compost, ready to plant.

Top Tips
Remove faded flowers regularly by pinching or cutting them off with their short stems. This keeps the display tidy and encourages the plants to direct their energy into producing further blooms.
Care Information

How To Plant Your Containers:

  • Make sure the drainage holes in the base of each planter are clear.
  • Fill the planters with the supplied Premium Professional Compost, leaving enough space at the top to position the plants and allow for watering.
  • Gently remove each pansy and viola from its container, taking care not to damage the roots. Arrange the plants across the three planters, mixing both varieties together for a colourful combination of orange and golden yellow flowers.
  • Plant each one at approximately the same depth as it was previously growing. Firm the compost gently around the roots, leaving a small gap below the rim of the pot so water does not spill over.
  • Water thoroughly after planting and allow any excess water to drain away.
  • Place the planters in a bright position in sun or light shade. A sheltered patio, doorstep, balcony or position close to the house will help protect the flowers from the harshest winter weather.

Ongoing Care:

  • Check the compost regularly, particularly during mild, dry or windy weather.
  • Water when the surface begins to feel dry. Pour water onto the compost rather than directly over the flowers.
  • Allow excess water to drain freely and never leave the planters standing in water for long periods.
  • The supplied compost contains starter fertiliser and controlled-release feed, so the plants should not need additional feeding immediately after planting.
  • If growth begins to slow later in the season, apply a suitable liquid bedding plant feed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Avoid overfeeding during very cold weather when the plants are growing more slowly.
  • Growth and flowering may pause during prolonged cold spells. This is normal. The plants should begin flowering more freely again as conditions improve.
  • Pansies and violas are hardy, but container-grown plants are more exposed to freezing weather than plants growing in the ground.
  • During severe frost, move the planters close to a sheltered wall or into a protected position. Raise the pots slightly on pot feet or small blocks if possible, helping drainage and preventing the bases from sitting on cold, wet ground.
  • Avoid moving the planters into a warm indoor room, as these plants perform best outdoors in cool conditions.
Delivery Information

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. Pre-ordered items will be sent as soon as possible after the date quoted and we'll generally ship your entire order with your pre-ordered items. When your order is dispatched, we'll send you another email with details of how to track it.

Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.

We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.
