The Buddleia 'Butterfly Candy Little Ruby' produces compact patio butterfly bushes that are guaranteed to add some late summer colour and gorgeous fragrance to your floral displays with intense spires.
The short stems and compact growth nature of this variety make it ideal for smaller gardens, pots or containers around the patio or decking. Busting to life from July, the beautiful ruby-red blooms last through to early autumn, when the bright spires of tiny flowers light up patio pots or mixed borders.
Winter hardy and very easy to grow - just plant in a sunny spot in the garden where they will thrive. Plus, the masses of brightly-coloured, fragrant flowers are adored by many beneficial pollinators and will attract clouds of butterflies and bees to the garden. No wonder it was shortlisted for 'Plant of the Year' at the 2022 RHS Chelsea Flower Show!

Top Tips
Buddleia plants are low maintenance, but they do benefit from pruning in early spring to maintain a nice compact plant.
Care Information
- Plant Buddleia in garden borders in any moist, well-drained soil, in full sun or semi-shade.
- Ideal in patio containers using soil-based compost such as John Innes No.3.
- Prune Buddleia in March, once the hardest frosts are over, as the new growth begins to show.
- Firstly, remove any dead, diseased, damaged, or weak stems, before pruning all off the remaining stems back to form a low framework.
- Drought tolerant once established.
