We're always keen to bring you the very best plants for your garden, and this saucy Geum is no exception. Picking up 2nd place in the prestigious Chelsea plant of the year competition, Geum ‘Scarlet Tempest’ certainly caught our attention as a garden must-have.
The first flush of flowers is large, with blooms up to 6.5cm (2˝in) across, while later in the season, they are produced in a larger number on a slightly smaller scale - around 5.5cm (2in).
With the pale scarlet flushed peachy-orange semi-double flowers held in prolific sprays above soft, slightly furry, green foliage, the great thing about this fiery-flowered Avens is its exceptionally long flowering season, which begins in April and continues until well into the autumn.
Three established plants are supplied in 9cm pots, ready for planting straight out.
