Product Information

Bountiful blooms in a range of colours, hardy by nature, and proven performance to look outstanding in our gardens year after year – what more could you want from a flower?

These hardy perennials are just waiting to spark some delightful colour into borders or pots, while also being easy solutions for groundcover.

This trio of Geranium are low maintenance yet reward you with incredible flowering displays on healthy bush foliage for months of the summer.

All three varieties have even been recommended by the RHS as ‘Plants for Pollinators’, thanks to their ability to draw the attention of bee, butterflies, and other friendly garden guests.

Supplied as a set of three established plants in 9cm pots, ready for planting. Including one each of the following:

  • Geranium ‘Rozanne’ – An award winner! Voted by the RHS as the ‘Plant of the Centenary’ at the Chelsea Flower Show. Saucer blooms in blue with white centres standout against rich green foliage. Towards the end of summer, the leaves will go on a colour-changing journey from fiery orange to red, then brown. This variety even proudly holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
  • Geranium ‘Intense’ – Pretty pink petals and rich green leaves make up Geranium ‘Intense’. The magenta flowers emerge prolifically and upright from the plant. Once again in autumn, the leaves will take on a red shade to suit the season.
  • Geranium ‘Sabani Blue’ – Snazzy and upright purple-blue blooms sit on top of green foliage from as early as spring. Dark veining stretches to the edge of each petal to add interest, as well as bright centres that twinkle like stars in the night sky.

Top Tips

Snip off faded flowers at the base or shear the tops of the plants back to new growth in order to stimulate reblooming and freshen the foliage.

Care Information

Planting Advice for Geranium :

  • Before planting, prepare the soil by digging over and removing any weeds. Incorporate some well-rotted manure to enrich the soil if necessary.
  • Knock the plant from its container. Look at the roots – if they are circling around the compost, it is best to tease them out. To do this, push your fingers into the root ball along the bottom edge and pull. Do this in a couple of places. This should encourage the roots to spread into the surrounding soil.
  • Next use a trowel or spade to create a hole just deep and wide enough to set in the root ball.
The aim is to bury just the roots, leaving the bases of the stems (when in growth in summer) or the shoots (in spring) above ground.
  • Firm back around the soil, using your hand for small clumps and your heel on larger areas.
  • Water in well to settle the soil and prevent desiccation.

Aftercare Advice for Geranium:

  • Prefers compost-enriched soil that stays moist. If planting straight out, keep well-watered until established.
Geraniums are herbaceous perennials and are easy to grow and fuss free.
  • They need minimal maintenance and are also generally pest and disease resistant.
  • Once established, they're drought tolerant and even slugs, snails and rabbits leave them alone!

Pruning for Geranium:

  • A haircut with shears after flowering is all the pruning that is required.
  • Doesn’t normally need dividing but plants can be split in spring or autumn if needed.
