Gaura lindheimeri is a popular, light and airy perennial plant with delicate pinwheels of bloom held on long graceful stems over narrow green leaves. A bushy, clump-forming plant which produces its flowers for a long period from late spring to early autumn you get an amazing 5 months of colour!
'Rosyjane' is a breeding breakthrough in Gaura flower colour as this variety has striking, bicoloured white flowers with a delicate pink picotee edging which burst from dark pink flower buds.
This gaura is a welcome addition to a mixed perennial border, where it forms a wiry, informal plant which quickly and easily fills gaps in borders with a haze of blossom, making it a great substitute for gypsophillia or London Pride in the garden.
Not a difficult plant to grow, it's a prairie native, so prefers a warm spot in a light soil where it can happily grow upwards through other plants. Try to keep it where you plant it though as it will sulk if moved.
Supplied as an established plant in a 7cm pot, 'Rosyjane' plant will grow to around 75cms tall so is suited to the middle or back of any sunny border.
Note plants are dormant October - March so may show no leaves in the pot.

After Gaura 'Rosyjane' has flowered, don't cut it back as it takes on beautiful autumn tints, particularly in cold weather. Wait until early spring.
