Product Information

A sublime colour combination and a must for any garden. A compact Primula Acaulis growing to just 20cm (8in) tall, but with stunning visual impact.

Primrose 'Blue Zebra' is a new and sublime striped colour combination and a must for any garden or early spring planter.

From January May each year you'll be treated to a visual feast of unique blue-veined flowers with a sunshine-yellow centre - totally unique colour combinationa and perfect for pots and containers. The blooms are lightly fragranced and produced above a neat rosette of semi-evergreen, ribbed leaves.

Looks great planted en masse, and we suggest growing them in pots or planters together, perhaps with some miniature daffodils to poke through the flower canopy too in spring.

Totally hardy, they will flower year after year between March and May, and are very low maintenance, yet rewarding, and not widely available at all.

LIMITED STOCK! so order yours now to make sure that you don't miss out.

Care Information

Planting advice for your primrose Blue Zebra:

  • Plant primroses where they can get some shade - as a woodland native they thrive out of the sun. Ensure that they are kept well watered.
  • Primroses enjoy moist, well-drained soil. Established plants can be planted out anytime, unless the soil is waterlogged or frozen.  For best results, plant out from July to early October.
  • If planting in a container, fill with multipurpose compost about three quarters full. Remove the plant from its existing pot or tray and carefully place into position.
  • Add the remaining soil to the plant pot and press firmly into place then water well.
  • If planting in the ground, dig a hole the same size as the plantís root ball. Place the plant in position, firm down the soil and water immediately.

Aftercare Advice for Blue Zebra Primula:

  • Apply a general purpose liquid feed while in active growth.
  • Primulas should be watered regularlt until they become fully established.

Pruning Adive for your primula:

  • To prolong flowering, remove spent flower heads and remove any yellow leaves.
