Product Information

An attention-grabbing set of flowers if there ever was one! This trio of Granvia are cottage garden favourites, growing in daisy-like forms with remarkable colour.

Also known as 'Everlasting Flowers', the blooms themselves are what makes these annuals so unique - you really must grow them to see what the fuss is all about! Large, intense flowers erupt in a range of colours, with a paper-like feel to each of the petals.

Compact and easy to grow, these bushy annuals make perfect container plants - ideal for brightening up patios and balconies as they can be moved wherever you want them.

Easy to grow and great for filling gaps in borders, they provide long lasting colour and make an excellent cut flower, lasting for weeks, even months, if you hang a bunch up to dry for a couple of weeks after picking.

Supplied as three plugs, including one each of the following:

  • Granvia ‘Crispy Orange’ – Yellow-centred blooms with rusted orange margins;
  • Granvia ‘Dark Pink Flame’ – A fashionable shade of dark pink dresses up these petals, developing from a bright, almost white base;
  • Granvia ‘Crispy Gold’ – Yellow blooms develop a deep orange centre when mature.

Care Information

Planting Advice:

  • Unpack plugs immediately and stand in water for an hour.
  • If you can’t do this, they can sit in their mini greenhouse for a week if upright and not too wet.
  • Plugs may be slightly dry or yellow after being in a dark box in the post, but they’ll quickly recover.
  • Put them somewhere warm, light and airy such as a windowsill or greenhouse.
  • Pot up plugs and grow them on in warm, frost-free conditions until all risk of frost has passed. Alternatively, plant them where they are to flower - again when all risk of frost has passed.
  • When potting on, handle plugs carefully. Pot on using our 9cm pots in Shuttle Trays, using good multi-purpose compost.
  • Give your plants a good water initially, then only when the top compost starts to dry. They don’t like to be left in standing water.
  • Plant approximately 20cm apart to allow room to grow.
  • Feed using a high-potash feed such as Blooming Fast Superior Soluble Fertiliser for Flowers & Fruits, to encourage flowering.
  • Deadhead when flowers fade to encourage more flowers.
  • Remember that plants are frost tender and should be protected from frost at all times.

Aftercare Advice:

  • These plants can tolerate partial shade, but if you're looking for the maximum blooms on compact plants then best results are achieved when grown in full sun where they can get six to eight hours of light.
  • Plants prefer moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter and so if you grow them in containers, choose a potting mix designed for use in pots.
  • Water them regularly but take care not to overwater and this can cause root problems and fewer blooms.

Pruning advice:

  • No pruning is required.
