A dazzling, ever-changing variety for extraordinary summer colour
When it comes to summer bedding, plenty of petunias promise colour, but very few stop people in their tracks quite like the outstanding Petunia ‘Pink Sky’…
Pop your plugs into pots this April and you’ll be rewarded with an early, and extraordinary, petunia display, blooming from May right through to September.
Every single bloom is unique, bursting open in vivid, almost fluorescent hot pink, scattered and spattered with irregular creamy-white spots. It’s almost like someone flicked a paintbrush across a pink petal canvas! No two flowers are ever identical. Brilliant, isn’t it?
As with all petunias, the speckled colour will actually vary and respond to temperature. Cooler April and May days encourage white, while the summer heat promotes that gorgeous pink.
‘Pink Sky’ is a close cousin of the multi award-winning Petunia ‘Night Sky’, winner of both the RHS Award of Garden Merit and a coveted Fleurostar Award – so it has serious pedigree indeed! ‘Pink Sky’ brings that same celestial wow-factor but in a gloriously sunny pink palette.
Semi-trailing and beautifully bushy, it spills and tumbles exactly as you want a petunia to. You may even want to combine it with the deep purple of ‘Night Sky’ for contrast.

Purchased your Petinia ‘Pink Sky’ Plug Plants? Here’s what to do next…
- Unpack plugs immediately and stand them in water for an hour. If you can’t do this, they can sit in the ‘mini greenhouse’ they arrive in for a week, if upright and not too wet.
- Plugs may be slightly dry or yellow after being in a dark box in the post, but they’ll quickly recover. Place them somewhere warm, light and airy such as a windowsill or greenhouse.
- When potting on, handle plugs carefully. Pot on using our 9cm pots in Shuttle Trays, using good multi-purpose compost.
- Give your plants a good water initially, then only when the top compost starts to dry. They don’t like to be left in standing water.
- Plant approximately 20cm apart to allow them room to grow. Feed using a high-potash feed such as Blooming Fast Superior Soluble Fertiliser for Flowers & Fruits, to encourage flowering.
