Crimson Frost is a superbly attractive form of the familiar silver birch that loves the cool moist UK summers and will thrive in most garden situations. Instead of the usual green you'll enjoy shiny deep burgundy leaves that intensify in colour as autumn approaches giving a superb display for more than 6 months. Even when not in leaf the tree remains an attractive feature with lovely silvery peeling bark throughout the year.
Thriving in moist soils it's easy to cultivate and grows quite quickly so will soon fill space. To enjoy the crimson foliage and contrasting cinnamon tinted silvery trunk be sure to give a good backdrop. Although primariliy a garden tree Crimson frost will thrive in a large pot without becoming too large.
Service rating : My 'Crimson Frost' birch arrived really securely packed and on time with no damage to the plant at all. Brilliant, thank you!
Product : I knew the plant was in a 1L pot and would therefore be small, it will be worth the wait to watch it grow. The leaves are a lovely plum colour.
