Fill your garden with the most delightful, golden-yellow almost luminous daisy-like flowers with dark brown central cones.
A recent introduction, so not in many gardens, Rudbeckia fulgida 'Little Goldstar' is a neat little patio daisy which erupts into bloom from July to October adding a splash of colour to your autumn garden.
Also known as Black-Eyed-Susan 'Little Goldstar’ is a more compact form of this amazing garden coneflower with with sunflower-like blooms which are carried on branching, upright stems - making then great for cut flowers as well, so you can bring the colour in!
You'll get months of blooms and although the flower size is slightly smaller than its cousin 'goldsturm' there are more daisies per plant, resulting in a more abundant display, which looks fabulous in a container or at the front of the flower border, where its bright yellow flowers light up the garden in sunshine.
Growing to just 50cm tall and wide, the toothed, hairy leaves form a compact mound which adequately fills those gaps in borders which appear as the seasons progress providing a green backdrop for late spring and summer flowers.
Easy to grow and particularly disease resistant, this little rudbeckia is low maintenance too as it won’t need staking and then in late winter the stems just need a quick chop back to ground level - or if you want to encourage wildlife leave them on to provide a natural mulch and home for overwintering insects and invertebrates.
Supplied as an established plant in a 3L pot, ready to plant out.
