The spectacular, pure white flowers of ‘Snow Queen’ are a sight to behold. With a centre filled with striking, long feathery filaments, the magnificent blooms grow to 13cm (5in) across and remain open for at least two or three days, unlike most Passion Flowers that last for just one day.
Perfect for growing over an obelisk or pergola, up a trellis or over a fence and incredible growing up into a tree, 'Snow Queen' will thrive in borders and can also be grown in a pot on the patio or on a balcony - so anyone can grow this stunning climber.
An absolute must-have for your garden, ‘Snow Queen’ is completely winter hardy to -8°C and its glossy, lobed leaves are evergreen to semi evergreen depending on temperature. During a severe winter it may lose some or even all of its leaves, but they’ll grow back quickly the following spring. It's so easy to care for and this vigorous climber will flourish in a dry sunny location with free draining soil.

- Mulch plants deeply to help protect the roots over winter. Should frost damage the vines, new ones will be produced from below ground.
Care Information
Planting Advice
- Passion flowers tends to bloom particularly well when their roots are restricted by a container or path side border.
- Pot-grown shrubs can be planted at any time of the year as long as the soil is not waterlogged or frozen.
- Water your potted plant well, then dig a hole a little deeper and 3 x wider than the nursery pot.
- Add a soil conditioner such as well-rotted manure to the earth removed from the hole if necessary.
- Remove the plant from its pot and tease out a few of the roots.
- Place your plant in the hole at the same level at the pot.
- Refill the hole with the earth removed (backfilling).
- Firm in the soil with your heel, avoiding the root ball.
- Water well and regularly for the first few months and mulch around the base of the plant.
Pruning Advice
- Little pruning is needed apart from removing any branches that are dead, damaged or diseased.
- If your passion flower is overgrown or badly frost-damaged, carry out renovation in spring by cutting back the stems to 30-60cm (1-2ft) from soil level and Snow Queen will respond by sending out new shoots.
