This lovely dark leaved Pittosporum is a fantastic addition to gardens large and small. As an evergreen it provides year round interest with deep mottled bronze foliage throughout. New growth through the warmer months, unfurls bright green before slowly darkening as it ages. If you're lucky you'll get scented purple flowers in spring too although this is primarily a foliage plant.
Tom Thumb is a compact growing kind that requires very little pruning and naturally grows to a low mounded bush. It's lovely grown alongside paths as a feature plant and a perfect plant for a large pot - maybe grown as a pair eitherside of a gateway or porch. It makes a great low growing hedge to as an alternative to box..
