Increasingly popular, Coreopsis is naturally a rugged prairie plant and ideally suited to today's low maintenance gardens.
With perfectly formed compact mounds of dense thread-like foliage, its startling, yellow and red bicolored flowers are carried on tall stems, above fine, feathery foliage - which gives them another alternative name of threadleaf, while their more common name, 'tickseed,' refers to the seeds which are said to resemble ticks and these are a great favourite of garden finches.
Easy to grow, drought tolerant, and long blooming, Coreopsis certainly earn their keep in a sunny flower border, rewarding you with plenty of flowers for very little effort on your behalf.
A new introduction, 'Firefly' is very winter hardy down to -25ºC with good resistance to disease making it a perfect choice for new gardeners or those who have very little time.
Compact and robust, it's definitely a plant for the front of the border or a mixed container - versatile, easy, and fun!
Supplied as 3 x Garden Ready plants for immediate planting.
