A new and unique colour for dwarf Cosmos, this is a plant that deserves a space in any garden. Providing lovely contrast to the more common bold and bright summer colours, the pastel lemon-yellow Cosmos 'Xanthos' provides a mellow tone, but still packs a punch.
The soft yellow blooms, each with a golden eye, appear from late June to early July every year and will continue to flower through the autumn, attracting regular visits from bees and butterflies as they go. They're ideal for planting nearby to fruit and veg that could use a little help from pollinators. Easy to grow, 'Xanthos' matures to just 2-3ft tall so there is no need to support the stems
Plant in large conatiners as a centrepiece or as feature plants in a sunny border where the lovely deep-green feathery foliage provides a great contrasting backdrop for the flowers. Flowering is prolific once begun, the blooms last well which also makes 'Xanthos' a great choice for growing as a cut flower.
Delivered as six jumbo plugs - plant directly into containers or pot into 4-6 in pots for a few weeks before border planting.
