If you a love the spicy kick of a chilli pepper, then this 'Hot Burrito' plant is the one for you!
This small and compact plant is best when grown in a pot, positioned in a warm, sunny spot such as a patio or porch, or indoors as a houseplant in a bright area. The 'Hot Burrito' will produce wonderful chillies from July that are about 15-25cm long and delicious eaten raw, used in recipes or added to barbeque skewers to give them a blast of heat. They can also be added to oils and vinegar to create a chilli-laced infusion!
Growing to about 60-90cm tall, this is perfect patio plant that is also wonderfully decorative with the deep green leaves and dazzling red chillies.

Care Information
Growing chilli peppers
- Keep your chilli plants in a frost free place until the chance of frost has passed.
- Transplant to a larger pot and move to the final growing position in a warm, sunny spot.
- As the plants begin to fruit, remove some of the lower leaves to allow sunlight to reach the chillis. As more form, remove leaves further up the plant.
Harvest
- Ready to harvest from July, or when the chillies are15-cm cm long and firm.
- Cut the chilli peppers from the plant using secateurs or scissors when they’re either green or red, depending on your taste. Chilli peppers become hotter when they turn red.
