Magic Mulch is a totally organic, sustainable, and natural plant waste material from the biogas industry. Made in Somerset from composted grass, maize, and rye, it is 100% natural, and contains a rich source of low-level nutrients to slowly feed your soil and plants. And most importantly it is Peat-Free, and a low energy alternative to coir and other peat alterative.

Not only is our Magic Mulch eco-friendly - even our bags are sustainably sourced. Made in Southampton - maintaining our ecological footprint by saving on airmiles -  from 30% recyled plastic, the bags are 100% recyclable in all supermarket bag collection points.  

You can also rest assured that our products are Soil Association Approved for organic growing and contain a natural source of N:P:K. All in all, this is a product that has minimum impact to Mother Nature, and maximum impact on your homegrown produce.

Use the Mulch all year round, but especially in Spring and Autumn. It will help conserve water, reduce weeds, and nourish the soil and roots too. As a natural product it contains bioactive microbes, which enhance the soil's natural ability to help plants root and grow. Much better than peat as a mulch anyway!

Simply apply as a thin layer 1' (2.5cm) deep across the surface of your garden soil. Our 40L bag will cover approx. 10 sq. Ft (1 sq. M) and is the perfect no dig solution.
